Features and updates

Celebrating success

The new school year is starting, and we’ve been hard at work implementing exciting updates that make LanSchool Air, our Cloud-based classroom management software, even easier to use; including the ability to:

  • Expand a student computer’s thumbnail into full-screen view
  • Select and perform an action across multiple student Chromebooks at once
  • View a student’s full screen (not just current tab) without Admin assistance
  • Enable teachers with disabilities to navigate using their keyboard
  • And more

(Sign in to check out the updates if you haven’t already)

There are also even bigger updates on the horizon that we can’t wait to share with you.

The thing is, sometimes when you’re busy looking ahead, you don’t take time to stop and celebrate what you’ve already accomplished. And since launching LanSchool Air, the SaaS version of LanSchool classroom software, we’ve accomplished a great deal.

Multiple award wins

We were honored with two recent award wins that demonstrate how LanSchool Air is leading the way in the classroom management space.

ComputED Gazette Bessie Awards

LanSchool Air won the Bessie Award for best classroom management software. For 25 years, these awards have been presented to innovative programs, apps, and websites that help parents and teachers foster educational excellence, and we couldn’t be prouder of this distinction.

Gold Stevie Award

We’re honored to also have been the only classroom management solution to receive a Gold level Stevie Award from the American Business Awards this year. Stevie judges had the following to say about LanSchool Air:

  • “This technology solves a real problem that teachers have in classrooms today – innovative way to improve school functionality!”
  • “I love the fact that this solution allows the teacher to monitor and correct without shaming. Well done!”
  • “Very interesting educational platform – especially the ability to keep students safe and on track.”

We’re thrilled LanSchool Air has been recognized by each of these groups, because it shows that the work we’re doing is valuable within the industry and is poised to truly help the teachers and students we’re serving.

Diverse success stories

Of course, nothing speaks more directly to the value of our software than the success stories we’re hearing from teachers and administrators. We’ve been fortunate enough to have schools and districts from all over the country reach out to share their stories about LanSchool Air.

Do either of these sound like you?

Elementary School Teacher Takes the Lead in Launching LanSchool Air

Trailblazing teacher Mallory Brito took it upon herself to arrange a LanSchool Air trial for herself and 10 other teachers after her elementary’s 1:1 device program led to some behavioral issues. The software made all the difference in the world, she said, because it enabled teachers to stop circling the classroom checking screens and spend more time teaching. Read Mallory’s story

Large School District Uses LanSchool Air for Streamlined Device Management

IT administrator Deb Schaalma needed a solution to manage 600 shared devices and make learning more efficient for her district’s 10,000 students. LanSchool Air’s Google Classroom integration made it easy to deploy, and the results have been phenomenal. Read Deb’s story

One of the things we’re most proud of is that LanSchool Air setup is easy enough that anyone can do it, whether you’re a busy IT admin or an enterprising teacher. And if you hit a task that’s beyond your scope, we’ll help you through it.

Celebrate your own successes

As you kick the school year off, we want to encourage you to take time to celebrate your own successes every day. Don’t wait until you’ve reached your end goal — make a point of giving yourself a high five for every milestone (and every step between milestones) along the way
